Report from SACC Summit 2017 in Boston

On October 25-26 2017, SACC-USA and SACC New England hosted the annual networking event SACC Summit in Boston. Members, business partners and chamber representatives were invited, whereof SACC Texas had six chamber representatives present. The theme this year was Business Through Innovation, a well-fitting theme considering that Boston is known as a hub for innovation and business. This event became a fantastic opportunity to connect with SACC-USA and its unique and extensive network of 20 Regional Chambers and their members.

The first day of the summit, the Business Day, consisted of an impressive roster of speakers and panel discussions. A few of the speakers were: Mikael Damberg, Sweden’s Minister for Enterprise and Innovation; Robert Langer, Professor at MIT; Robert B. Pojasek, Ph.D., Harvard University and Pojasek & Associates LLC; Myra White, Ph.D., J.D., Lecturer on Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School; and Torbjörn Holmström, Senior Advisor Research & Technology Volvo Group. This event created great networking opportunities with a wide variety of professionals such as politicians, professors, entrepreneurs, and sponsors.

On the second day, the Internal SACC Day, Regional Chamber representatives shared their best practices with the objective of reinforcing the SACC-USA network and creating even stronger Swedish-American business ties. A major event on this day was that SACC Texas was announced to be host of SACC Summit next fall 2018. Us at SACC Texas are very excited and thrilled to be able to offer an outstanding opportunity as this one to our members!
