Patrik Löwenborg is new board member in the Dallas Chapter. He has a long background from
Ericsson and the Telecom industry and has been living in Dallas for three years. Patrik is a dedicated
foodie and will mainly focus on working with our joyful events in Dallas.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
Most of the time, I am a happy and optimistic person. I moved to the USA and Dallas three years ago
with my wife, Kicki, and our daughters Saga, now 17 and Klara 14. The reason for this was Ericsson,
where I worked with sales of fiber optic networks. Now, I just started a new career, working for an
Australian company that is establishing itself here in the US. It is a very interesting and exciting
assignment, where I continue my career wthin fiber network design.
How do you wish to contribute to the board of SACC here in Dallas?
My big interest in social life and good food means that I will contribute to the organization arranging
parties, events and dinners. Something I have done extensively throughout the many, an interest that
started during the University years when I was on the program committee arranging lots of different
events.

I know that you are a great foodie. Could you give us some tips on some of your favorite
restaurants here in Dallas?
Our family of four is very delighted in the restaurants Hard Eight BBQ and Ramen Hakata. Both are
located in the Frisco-Plano area of northern Dallas. Hard Eight is a chain of BBQ restaurants and
serves incredibly good brisket, ribs, chicken etc., with all the usual accessories like baked potatoes
beans, and more. Ramen Hakata is a slightly smaller chain of Japanese food. Here, the noodle soup,
Ramen, is served in various forms and in a very nice environment. Union Bear in Plano, opposite IKEA,
is a brewery that serves good beer and good food in a very nice establishment. Here, I like to bring
customers to talk and have a good time.
