Meet Christina Thoerngren, new board member for SACC-Dallas

Christina Thoerngren is the new Vice Chair Woman and Secretary for SACC Texas, Dallas
Christina has a background as a Lawyer in Stockholm, Sweden, and she moved here to Dallas
earlier this year with her two children and husband, who work at Ericsson.

Welcome to Dallas, Christina Thoerngren! Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
Thank you. Yes, I moved to northern Dallas (Frisco) with my husband and two young children from my
hometown Stockholm, Sweden, earlier this year. Our reason for coming was my husband’s job
relocation with Ericsson. Moving here meant that I left my job as a lawyer at one of the bigger law
firms in Stockholm where I practiced mainly litigation, intellectual property and marketing law.
Seeking to stay connected to the business world, I was thrilled when I came across the opportunity to
join the SACC board here in Dallas. I am passionate about great teamwork and what can be achieved
when great people come together, and SACC is all about networking and bringing people together.

What do you see as the biggest challenges and the opportunities for SACC Texas Dallas?
Making sure we always stay relevant and consistently create real value for our members, all the while
continuing to grow our great network here in Dallas (and Texas as a whole). Succeeding in that means
that we can continue to make a real difference in increasing trade and investment between Sweden
and Dallas/Texas.

So far, what do you like most about Texas?
I would have to say the friendly, easygoing and welcoming Texans! And the sunny weather is not bad
either.
